This meeting focused on the business value, as well as the risks associated with the rise of Cloud Computing outsourced solutions. Is Cloud Computing just another information technology development that outsourcing professionals need to understand, or could it have a more profound impact on the way ITO and BPO is sourced and managed? How can Cloud Computing bring new business value to your enterprise? Do the potentially increased risks of non-compliance outweigh the substantial cost savings available in Cloud Computing arrangements? “What is Cloud Computing, and Why Should You Care? A Technology vs. Business Value Perspective” Elliott Ichimura, Cloud Computing Chapter Co-chair, Microsoft Arijit Sengupta, Cloud Computing Chapter Chair, BeyondCore “The Potential Rewards and Risks of Cloud Computing.” Gartner claims that by 2012, BPO services sourced through the cloud will grow from 5% to 25%. However, experts seem to disagree on the benefits and risks of Cloud Computing. A panel of customers, providers and advisors will share their varied perspectives on this topic, including representatives from Citigroup, Morrison & Foerster, Accenture and Infosys.
