Participants learned how to prepare for a successful transition. Shirish Gupta of PA Consulting addressed the topic of “The Transition Challenge – Managing the Successful Transition to Outsourced Services.” Getting to contract is only half the work. The real challenge for organizations is transitioning services to an outsourcing provider. The effectiveness of the transition will in large part determine the ultimate success of the outsourcing relationship as it sets the stage for positive working relationships and achievable expectations. Preparation and good project management techniques are a key component to success! Josh Dougan, Independent Project Management Consultant, addressed “Case Studies of Applied Project Management Techniques.” How do you actually complete the transition? He shared his insight from a client perspective on methods that have proven successful and methods that have fallen short. A networking session followed the program with refreshments provided by HTMT Global Solutions.
