| Chairman’s Summary: Meeting held –September 13, 2007 The September 13 meeting of the IAOP NY Chapter focused on the Financial Services industry, and involved a panel discussion of several financial institutions and advisors on the topic of 'Accelerating Growth Through Outsourcing & Offshoring'. Panel Members included: -John Stone, Managing Consultant at PA Consulting Group (moderator) -Nigel Howard, Partner at Mayer Brown -Andrea Kirk, Vice President of Credit Derivatives at Goldman Sachs -Michael Morandini, Vendor Mgmt & Outsourcing Lead for Fixed Income IT at UBS -Peter Nag, Director of Smith Barney Technology Group at Citigroup Recognizing that outsourcing is more about a complex change and transformation program than a mere transaction and/or cost reduction exercise, the Moderator, John Stone from PA Consulting Group, utilized PA's Change Framework during the roundtable discussion that organized the various topic questions around the framework's core principles: Making it Essential, Making it Ready, Making it Happen and finally, Making it Stick. After providing their own overview of outsourcing and offshoring of services within financial institutions, the panelists then engaged in a lively and thought-provoking discussion around the various topics, providing their own insights into how their companies, and the industry as a whole, as approach the topic at hand. The event was well received by those in attendance, and we look forward to the next event in latter Q4 or early Q1 2008. Chairman’s Summary – May 9, 2007 In cooperation with the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), PA Consulting Group held New York's second Chapter meeting on May 9th at the Yale Club of New York City. Chris Nuttall of PA Consulting Group led a panel discussion on How to Create and Sustain Successful HR Outsourcing Deals. The panel included: David Wilson of PA Consulting Group, Stephen Nordahl of Millbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and David Kinnear of DDC HRO. The panel focused on successfully employing outsourcing as a management tool for improving HR’s performance. They gave a wealth of real-life experience covering three perspectives: advisor, vendor, and client. Inaugural Breakfast Meeting – Chairman’s Summary In cooperation with the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), PA Consulting Group held New York's inaugural Chapter meeting on March 7th at the Yale Club in New York City. IAOP Chapter meetings focus on sharing knowledge, expertise and insight on the practice of outsourcing. PA’s Doug Plotkin, and Elise Andreas from Pfizer gave a presentation titled, "Negotiating Winning Outsourcing Deals." Hsiu Mei Wong led the meeting’s welcome and wrap up discussions. There were a great deal of open dialogues and exchanges from over forty industry executives, providers and advisors from the surrounding tri-state area including Michael F. Corbett, Chairman of IAOP.
