Meeting held - March 6, 2009 A meeting of the IAOP Hong Kong Chapter chaired by Sidney Yuen of Convergys Corporation was held on March 6, 2009. This meeting was part of the IAOP Global Tour featuring Michael F. Corbett, Chairman of IAOP. As the keynote speaker, Michael spoke to the topic of “Outsourcing and The Global Economy: Learnings from the 2009 Outsourcing World Summit.” In addition, participants learned more about the upcoming IAOP Asia Pacific Outsourcing Summit that will take place on May 12-13, 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The meeting took place during lunch at the Business Excellence Symposium at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and was produced by the Hong Kong Benchmarking Clearinghouse. Mr. Barrett discussed IAOP’s emerging role as the global, standard-setting organization and advocate for the outsourcing profession, as well as his personal vision for outsourcing as a global profession and as an industry.
