Next meeting scheduled for October 8, 2008!

CHAPTER CHAIR


The next meeting of the IAOP London Chapter will be held on October 8, 2008 from 8:30 to 11:00 am.

Representatives from PricewaterhouseCoopers, IntellectUK and Kirkland & Ellis International LLP will provide presentations on the topic of “Data Security: Recent Events, Trends and Best Practices”.

Meeting held July 29, 2008


The latest meeting of the IAOP London Chapter took place on Tuesday, July 29, 2008  from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Kirkland and Ellis International LLP Office located at 30 Mary Axe, London, EC3A 8AF.

Chapter Chair, Pierre-Andre Dubois of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP, introduced the IAOP London Chapter’s goals and initiatives.  Then Joe Doyle of Sitel and Thomas Brooks and Alek Adamaski of Pricewaterhouse Coopers spoke to the topic of “How will an economic downturn impact outsourcing in the United Kingdom?”
These experts discussed how
UK organizations can benefit from using BPO in the current econony, proactive measures that healthy businesses can take to prepare for uncertain economic conditions, the advantages of outsourcing in a down economy, the impact of the current climate on contact centres and the effects of globalization on outsourcing.  A panel discussion moderated by Pierre-Andre Dubois followed the presentations.


In addition, participants heard about the IAOP 2008 European Outsourcing Summit in Barcelona, Spain on 16-17 October 2008!  If you haven’t registered yet, be sure to do so before August 4!  More information is found below!  As a member/guest of the IAOP London Chapter you will want to take advantage of the special pricing offered!

Primary Purpose of the London Chapter
The London Chapter of IAOP is for customers, providers and advisors who work or

are located in London or the surrounding areas.

The Chapter’s primary focus is to assist these individuals in building their professional networks within the field and collectively advancing outsourcing as a recognized and highly regarded profession.

Executive Committee
Participation in the Executive Committee is limited to executives from IAOP Corporate Members and provides a non-commercial forum for sharing ideas, experiences, and issues across customer, provider, and advisor organizations.
