The theme couldn’t be more timely: Using Outsourcing to Emerge as a Leader in the New Global Economy. With the current recession appearing to ease, the question now facing most businesses is how best to position themselves for the growth to come. For those of us in the outsourcing industry, that answer will naturally lead to new challenges and new opportunities. We’ll be expected to innovate new services and business models that can flexibly adapt to whatever the ‘‘new normal” turns out to be. Operations will continue to become more global, more connected and more fluid. Customer-side organizations will demand greater value at lower costs, while the top providers will seek to powerfully leverage what they’re good at today into tomorrow’s solutions. Outsourcing also will be called on to step up to its role as a leader of corporate social responsibility on a truly global scale. "I very much enjoyed The 2009 Outsourcing World Summit! Best professional conference I have ever attended! (and I have been to quite a few in my lifetime). Especially enjoyed the Hall of Fame Luncheon." –Kelly Sawyer, COP, Teleflex Medical "I always walk away feeling rejuvenated to tackle tough business issues after spending time with others facing similar challenges". –Kurt Kohorst, COP, Vice President, Liberty Mutual Insurance | | SIX EDUCATIONAL TRACKS DIVE DEEP INTO TODAY’S MOST PRESSING ISSUES 1. In spite of the value outsourcing creates every day, it is equated in the public and even many employees’, managers’, and shareholders’ minds with job loss, poor quality and lax security. How can outsourcing professionals overcome this? By arming themselves and others with the facts, by sharing a vision of enhanced excellence and quality through outsourcing and by making socially responsible outsourcing a priority in everything they do. Sessions in this track will address these topics head on. “The Outsourcing World Summit is always an outstanding place to learn about what is happening in our industry.
